Certain things happen to our bodies when reducing calories. So what happens to our bodies when we choose to cut calories? During a calorie deficit our bodies still require the same amount of energy so they start to use up energy stores to make up for this 500 calorie deficit. However, as our bodies inevitably use up extra proteins for energy AND to maintain normal protein synthesis, we end up with a net loss of total protein. This results in a gradual loss of lean muscle, and this is the start of a lowered metabolism and consequently a slower lose weight.<BR><br />

The stomach is a classic area where protein is broken down for use, as there&#8217;s less need for a large stomach capacity because we have lowered our food intake. There is a problem with obesity and overweight in the USA today. You would think we could figure this problem out, wouldn&#8217;t you? There&#8217;s something staring us right in the face and we don&#8217;t see it. No one seems to be concerned enough to <A HREF="http://ez-lose-weight.com/">lose weight</A>. To me, the problem is as obvious as the nose on our face. It&#8217;s all about what the food industry is doing to us. They offer us processed foods loaded with fats, sugar and salt. They use chemicals to change our food. If you&#8217;re eating wrong for your body type, you may never be able to lose weight successfully. Are you an endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph body type? If you are not sure, then this could be the reason you failed to lose weight on your last diet, or why your weight loss has fallen short of your expectations. In the 1940&#8217;s, Dr. William H Sheldon, an American psychologist became fascinated by the study of human body types.  Sheldon&#8217;s devoted his life to observing how body types were related to temperaments. As a part of his extensive research on the subject, Sheldon developed a three part classification system for body types known as SOMATOTYPING. It is interesting to understand the boy types in order to have a better understanding of why some people struggle to  lose weight<br />

Sheldon identified three distinct body types:<br />
<P><br />
1. The Mesomorphs &#8211; the genetically gifted types who are lean, muscular and naturally athletic. <BR><br />
2. The Endomorphs &#8211;  the fat retainers. Endomorphs have a round body shape and large joints (they are &#8220;big boned&#8221;) and they often have great difficulty losing body fat. There&#8217;s a good chance that if you struggle to lose weight, you are an endomorph or you are at least partially endomorph.<BR><br />
3. The Ectomorphs &#8211; the lean, skinny types. They are usually very thin and bony, with fast metabolisms and extremely low body fat.<BR><br />
<P><br />
From the above information you can see that the endomorph body type is someone who is genetically prone to store fat easily due to a slow metabolism. Endomorph body types are usually, but not always, large-framed with medium to large joints. If you&#8217;re an endomorph and you mess up on your diet, the surplus calories are almost certain to go to fat. Even when you&#8217;re in a caloric deficit, it seems like the fat goes down at a painfully slow rate. The endomorph body type no longer refers only to outward physical characteristics, although Sheldon&#8217;s somtatotyping system originally referred to body structure alone. From a metabolic perspective, the endomorph body type sometimes has varying degrees of carbohydrate sensitivity and insulin resistance. If someone is metabolically carbohydrate intolerant due to a genetic tendency, then high carbohydrate diets are not the preferred choice if they want to |lose weight| as they will stimulate excess secretion of insulin and glucose will be partitioned into the fat cells more easily.<br />

The carb intolerant endomorph needs to heed very specific nutritional advice. They would be well advised to significantly reduce the amount of processed and refined carbs from their diet, particularly white sugar and white flour products. These concentrated carbs will convert to body fat more rapidly in endomorphs. The best solution for the endomorph body type is a moderate carb diet as baseline, for example a 40-40-20 split of protein, carbs and fat. For those particularly carb sensitive, taking the dietary fats up to 30% may be even better, producing a 40-30-30 macronutrient split. This has a huge significance not only to ensure there is not weight gain but also for those who have already gained weight and now are looking to<A HREF="http://ez-lose-weight.com/09/lose-weight-12/"> |lose weight|</A>.<br />

From the baseline diet, the endomorph must carefully observe the effects of the diet o their bodies and then adjust the carbohydrate intake according to the results. For some endomorphs a further reduction in carbs may be necessary to help them to lose weight and in extreme cases a small handful of them may find they are more successful with a traditional ketogenic diet which is even lower in carbs and higher in fat.<br />

An Individualized Approach to Nutrition is the Key!<br />

The variation in body types must dictate the macronutrient split. 5. Do not eat breakfast. Have two cups of coffee and a low-fat muffin. Also your low fat muffin may well contain hydrogenated fat which is very bad for your health.<BR><br />

Personally I hate being overweight.
