Lose Weight For Health

Lose weight now to prevent health concerns later in life. Nutritional requirements for a healthy body have not changed however our eating habits definitely have. Children are especially vulnerable to high fat and sugar content in their diet. The temptations for great tasting but nutritionally poor foods make it difficult for children to resist filling up on things like candy instead of broccoli.

With the growing number of children being diagnosed as obese it is imperative that they are helped to |lose weight| before they suffer life threatening diseases. One of the biggest concerns at the present time is that some overweight teenagers have severe liver damage caused by too much body fat. The condition, which can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure or liver cancer, is being seen in kids in the United States, Europe, Australia and even some developing countries, according to a surge of recent medical studies.

The best way to combat this problem is early intervention. It is possible to reverse the condition with a medical team working with the whole family, including liver and hormone specialists, a dietitian and counselors. These children have to |lose weight| and be taught how to eat nutritious meals that won’t endanger their health.

Why are we seeing this epidemic of obese teenagers and young adults? Fast food chains and sedentary life styles are thought to be a big part of the problem. Of course we all know that to |lose weight| we need to consume a healthy well balanced diet and do regular exercise, so why are we allowing our young people to become couch potatoes, who have little or no idea what constitutes a healthy diet.

Are the schools to blame or are the parents to blame? At the end of the day it is probably a combination of both, but in view of the fact that the home is where the habits begin in the formative years, the finger has to be pointed in that direction for the majority of the responsibility. If you can see, even in the early stages that your child needs to |lose weight|, then do something about it. Better still when your baby is born spend the first 6 months finding out about how to give your child a healthy diet, when he/she is ready to be weaned. There is plenty of helpful advice available from health care provider, family physicians and even Google. It is just a matter of seeking it out. If your child needs to lose weight then it is up to you to act quickly to ensure it doesn’t become a life long habit and a chronic life threatening condition
