Lose Weight Fast: How to Do It Safely
If you ask any nutritional expert they will tell you that fad diets don’t work for permanent weight loss. But what about those times when you really need to lose weight fast? It can be very tempting to resort to crash diets like the Lemonade Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet, or Lose 21 Pounds in 21 Days when your goal is to wear a new outfit for that special occasion
So what’s wrong with losing 20 pounds fast so you can show off your new sylph like shape? To be perfectly honest nothing is wrong with trying to lose weight quickly – as long you do it the right way.
Losing weight is a simple mathematical formula: You need to burn more calories than you eat. If you are able to either burn off 500 calories a day or eat 500 less calories you should be able to lose 1-2 lbs a week. A combination of the two would be the ideal.
So basically if you want to lose weight fast, you’ll need to eat less and exercise more. I would suggest 1,200 calories a day and ¾ -1 hour of exercise a day. On this type of plan, you may to lose 3-5 pounds the first week, though some of this will be water.
Here are some weight loss tips to help you lose weight fast
* Eat plenty of low-calorie vegetables to help you feel full.
* Drink plenty of water so you don’t confuse hunger with thirst.
* Clear the house of tempting foods.
* Stay busy to prevent eating out of boredom.
* Eat only from a plate, while seated at a table.
* Always eat three meals and one snack daily – no skipping meals.
Weighing yourself daily and tracking your food intake can also help you keep focused. Keep a food diary. It is amazing what you forget you have eaten!!
Don’t worry if you feel hungry between meals as a high quality protein snack can actually help to increase your metabolic rate and help you to lose weight.
